• Thursday 24 October 2024 Changing States What a productive half term it’s been for Class 4. Our writing about the fearsome beast Grendel has led us to delve in to our writer’s tool kit to use amazing adjectives, descriptive verbs and precise nouns to retell the moment the gruesome beast burst in to Beowulf’s great hall and snatched 30 of his best warriors. Our words have been chosen so carefully for effect that any reader will be able to imagine the terrifying scene we wanted to show them.

• Friday 11 October 2024 A 'Silly' Start to Class 2! We have had a lovely start to this year in Class 2. The children have welcomed a lot of new people into the class and worked really hard every day. We really impressed our most recent visitors when we acted and made puppets to go with a story by Julia Donaldson.

• Friday 4 October 2024 A Historic Start to Year 4 What a great start to Year 4 we’ve had. Everyone has come in to Mrs Colquhoun’s class with buckets full of enthusiasm and a great attitude for learning. It’s going to be an excellent year and we can’t wait to see what the children can achieve.
• Friday 4 October 2024 Off to a Fantastic Start! Class One have had a fantastic start to the school year! Year One is a big change from Reception, but the children have settled in amazingly and are knuckling down with their work. We’ve been learning lots of new skills and knowledge, as well as building on what we learned in Reception.
• Friday 4 October 2024 We Love Netball! Over the last few weeks, year 6 have been learning to play netball in their P.E sessions. This fast-paced, high-energy sport not only tests their physical fitness but also sharpens their strategic thinking and teamwork. It’s a sport that demands agility, precision, and coordination. They love netball because unlike other sports, each position on the court has a unique role, meaning there’s a place for everyone.

• Friday 4 October 2024 A Heroic Start to Year 5 In Class 5 maths, we have been focusing upon place value and can compare and order numbers all the way up to one million! We have thoroughly enjoyed playing ‘Place Value’ UNO against our teachers, and have used our mathematical knowledge to compare larger numbers.
• Wednesday 25 September 2024 Brave Beginnings The children have gotten off to a great start in Reception and are learning to become “Brave Bears”. From visiting for a few hours a day, they are now managing full days of phonics, literacy, language & maths activities! Of course we always find time to explore their interests in their play and have lots of fun, but you better believe we are working hard. Everyday we are working towards being good listeners, kind friends, and more independent in our learning. We are off to a very positive start – maybe our next Super Learning Power will be Positive Penguins!
