Bede Community Primary School

Everybody learns, everybody cares

Run, Run, As Fast As You Can…

This half-term, the Reception class has hit the ground running, learning about various celebrations and special events. The children created colourful odd socks for Anti-Bullying Week, designed their own road signs for Road Safety Week, made party hats for Rainbow Bear’s birthday party, and enjoyed celebrating Christmas Jumper Day. They also had a festive lunch and went on a trip to see ‘Wolf!’ at the Northern Stage.

Throughout the term, the class has been practising their phonics to improve their reading and writing, exploring numbers and numerical patterns to develop their mathematical skills, and becoming Progress Pigs in all areas of learning.

The biggest achievement of the term was the fantastic ‘Gingerbread Man’ performance. The children practised their songs, speaking, and acting over many weeks, showing great bravery when they performed the show for their families. The class hopes everyone enjoyed it!
