Amazing, Terrific, Incredible!

The end of Class 2 has been “amazing” – that’s exactly what the children have said!

 

Terrific trips

We went on two great trips this half term. Pretending to be a knight on the castle trip was a lot of fun for Anne. Reggie, Riley and many others enjoyed having a mini battle! Charlotte enjoyed going to the Shipley Art Gallery and making new friends. We also got to play games and Yusuf liked that part of the trip. Reggie thought it was interesting to see old things from times like the 1990s! Sharing art and working together with the other children was something that Emily liked.

 

Going outside

It’s nice to go outside and learn in the fresh air and sunshine. We have been using the fairy garden, next  to  our classroom, to play in and work in during the summer. Miron enjoyed using every part of it! We have been having playtimes on the Key Stage 2 yard to get ready for Y3. Aabidah really liked the gym equipment and going on the climbing frame, just like Emily, Charlotte and Jayden! We’ve had a coach come and help us with our football skills in PE. Dylan liked saving the ball when he was in goal. We learned new skills and now Faiz is better at passing and shooting.

 

Fun things in the classroom

Working hard to get gold certificates was something which those winners liked a lot. Anne, Barack, Emily and Ezra got to spend time petting animals for their reward! Another fun activity was when the Vex robotics club got to go on a visit too; they are computing superstars! Tasnuba liked it when our friend Nikita came to visit and talked about helping hands and ways we can deal with a big change in our life. Charlotte and Reggie both liked the breathing exercises she taught us. We’ve been very lucky and got to watch three plays by the Little Angels theatre company this summer. Emily thought the plays were funny and Barack liked the puppets which were used.

This week your child will bring home an INCREDIBLE piece of work: their diary of the The Lonely Beast, which is a story we’ve read in class. We hope you enjoy it!
