Bede Community Primary School

Everybody learns, everybody cares

Bede Buzz - Autumn 1

Great Attitudes, Fabulous Manners and Excellent Respect Shown for Others and Between Themselves!

We haven’t received our final Ofsted report yet so we aren’t allowed to give any details out to you until we do. However, we did want to say that throughout it all, as they do every day, our children were nothing short of wonderful and the comments from the title here were made about them.  We are so proud of the people that they are and how they are growing into such thoughtful humans able to think about themselves, and their emotions and the world around them. They are learning how to deal with challenge effectively; how to support others; how to give their best and how to work towards what they want from life. These are skills that everyone needs, and when you have them, you really can make positive changes in the world for yourself and others.

On World Mental Health Day, we gave a lot of thought to considering who we wanted to be as people and how we should be proud of ourselves and our many  varied talents. We agreed that everyone has good stuff to share with the world and that there is so much more to people than what  we see on the outside.  We thought of ourselves as bags that carry messages about ourselves on the outside and designed what we thought people know about us and what messages we give out to others.

Bede Buzz - Autumn 1 - 2024

Let’s all try to give each other messages of kindness and support as we go. Have a happy half-term break.  See you  back on Monday, November 4th.

Attendance

Our whole school attendance so far has been 96.6%.  This is really very good considering all  the coughs, colds and sickness that have been going around.  Thank you for making sure that your child is coming to  school every day.  It does make a difference.

Parent Consultations

We are sorry that we had to  cancel most of our parent consultations because of Ofsted calling.  We have rescheduled these for the week beginning November 11th.

Please see your class teacher if you need to change your appointment.

 Children in Need

We will again celebrate Children in Need Day, November 15th, along with the rest of the UK.  We will dress up and donate what  we can and will theme our costumes on yellow, spots or clothes that make us happy.

Harvest Art Gallery and Food Donations

Thank you to everyone who came along to our art gallery this week.  We hope you loved the art work as much as we did.  Thank you for the kind donations for the Food Bank and People’s Kitchen.
