What an amazing half-term we’ve had in Class 9—we are all true SUPERHEROES! We’ve dived into a variety of superhero stories, from the adventures of Superworm and Supertato to the inspiring tale of Fire Fighter Frank.

This week, we celebrated real-life heroes like doctors, dentists, firefighters, and vets. It’s been a week packed with Fire Fighting Fun!

In Maths, we embarked on a treasure hunt for numbered fire engines and flames, exploring numbers from 1 to 10 and 1 to 20. We sequenced them and matched firemen to their respective numbers. We also practiced ‘one more and one less’ using fireman figures on ten frames—what a great way to learn!

We got creative by designing our own 2-D fire engines with squares, rectangles, and circles, and then we advanced to crafting 3-D models using box craft materials.

During PE, we worked on our gross motor skills, keeping a steady beat with stretchy bands. Teaming up with our friends from Class 10 made it even more fun! We also had a blast using the parachute to launch Evil Pea as high as possible.

In Expressive Arts and Design/Music, we followed colorful notes with Boomwhackers to keep the beat, singing along to our favorite song, "Hakuna Matata!"

We’ve been enhancing our communication skills, learning to name the parts of a fire engine and the gear that firefighters wear. During Bucket Time, our focus has been fantastic—those flashing lights and winding toys are so exciting!

And let’s not forget our Monday Lego therapy sessions, where we build incredible Superhero vehicles.
