Our New Family Support Worker

Hi there!

My name is Catherine Farley, I am Bede’s Family Support Worker and Deputy Safeguarding Lead. Think of me as a link between family and school 😊

In my role I am here to help children and families with lots of different things, this may include supporting to fill in paperwork, applying for grants for uniforms or household items, supplying food parcels to families and helping families who have newly arrived in the area/country.

I also work with our children and families to support them through the process of Safeguarding where Social Services or Early Help may be involved.

I am also able to support children through 1:1 work or in groups depending on need. Sessions may include things such as;

• Working on self-confidence
• Emotional wellbeing
• Friendships
• Building resilience
• Creating a safe space for our children.
